Scalia got involved in selecting the outcome when the republicans promised to give his son a high paying job in the administration. Scalia has more kids, and more favors to give.

Clinton refused to open the office set aside for the new President. Perhaps he was rehearsing his next court testimony at it. Our country is ill served by dragging a farce out for months.

The US Constitution has provisions for just that kind of electoral situation.

Our country was ill served by not getting the issue resolved satisfactorily to all parties and by allowing the USSC to determine the election. There is no provision in the Constitution for such a SC gambit. However, the GOP doesn't care about fairness or honesty; its only concerned with winning.
