Kerry, Seems that something is behind the curtain of both
the "Welcome To" SI and IH that has caused both BobZ
and Matt to be quiet in a "play dumb" response to questions
and suggestions directed towards making SI and IH a place
of positive growth. Almost as if they are waiting for an event
that should or could happen only after this new SI is in place.

If Bob & Matt are playing this game, then they should know
that the other side may have agreed to a game of checkers,
but while Bob & Matt make moves under the rules of checkers,
the game is really chess and must be played at a higher level
than seeing the playing field as few and simple moves.

Bob has been busy programming, and Matt's early youth success
has rendered his survival development into a null track.

Easy pickings for experienced people that trade in values
that have foundations not fully tied down and only seem
to be at rest stable from the large mass presently at rest.

Just as those big oil tankers at sea need 3 miles to stop,
once stopped they can be moved without being noticed
until its too late to stop them quickly.

Just as Bob mentioned, that it may be harder to remove a feature
than the code'n debug'n and put'n in place for member usage,
especially when the user community discovers it to be a thing
called a value, and now you will lose it, it is always harder
to fix a mess than that required to prevent a mess.

While Bob is very skilled in logic and human nature, sometimes
the logic applied to human nature will cause one to stumble.

For example, on iHub I'am a Grandfathered member and receive
all Premium features for free, always. Here on SI I joined in 1998
as a lifetime member for $150 and seen the site advance under
the original creators of Jeff & I forget the other man and lady,
and received without any additional fee new & improved features,
of which the Read Next 10 was the best and greatest for ease of use.

But suprise surprise my human nature bite me @ss and caused me
to obtain an ill logic expression of disdain towards this new SI
when I learned that my lifetime membership did not include
the Read Next 100 that I have been using with great glee on IH,
but not here until I pay up what is a tiny near zero few dollar per year.

Was it pride, false pride, or just one's feel that they deserve the best?

Why did I feel BobZ dumped on me?

Especially when in the recent past I posted a few times that
a good business model for SI & IH is to develope features
and tools above & beyond what the normal expected is,
and charge a fee for usage.

Or maybe Read Next 100 should be a Premium basic?

top of the ground... hole in the ground... to indoor plumbing

Read Next... Read Next 10... Read Next 100

On IH I use indoor plumbing, and now I arrive on the new SI
and find that I must pay extra for it :o)
