I don't think that it would be necessary to organize anything to take a kick at the dollar or boost oil prices. Look at what Russia did by themselves with Yukos... probably $10/barrel rise in oil just from that. The US may be virtually invincible in conventional warfare, but they are getting pretty vulnerable economically given the debt situation and that the world is awash with US dollars and bonds. Due to the potential retribution, no country would do anything overtly, but indirectly things could be done, and a lot of countries are possibilities. The Europeans are mostly constrained by the EU in their international interactions, but you have Russia, China, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Venezuala, etc. I'm not saying that something will happen, just that something certainly could happen.
