Fed's Bernanke says economy can withstand oil spike WASHINGTON (AFX) -- Federal Reserve Board Gov. Ben Bernanke said Monday high oil prices needn't be an ongoing drag on the nation's economy. "It's the difference between rising prices and high prices. The economy can accommodate prices at the current level," he told reporters after a panel discussion on banking issues. Bernanke said he hopes oil prices will decline gradually

yeah -- I busted the family budget this weekend -- bought a new camp stove and two camping cots. LOL.
