I thought the shrapnel in his thigh is from when he shot at rocks on the river bank with another RPG. Once again, if you wish to convince, make the whole argument.

John Kerry, protecting us from rogue rice and rocks. Maybe he got some rock shrapnel in his head? (It is a joke, lighten up.)
