Maybe I did copy-paste and truncate the link??

c-span.org

Step-by-step

c-span.org

write "bush chirac" into the (video) search field

For those who can pste and copy rm-links, and know to strip off thet javascript stuff

---
javascript:playClip('rtsp://cspanrm.fplive.net/cspan/hdrive/ter110601_bush.rm')

javascript:playClip('rtsp://cspanrm.fplive.net/cspan/fdrive/ter091801_chirac.rm')

javascript:playClip('rtsp://cspanrm.fplive.net/cspan/fdrive/ter091801_bushchirac.rm')
---

that is, stripped:

---

rtsp://cspanrm.fplive.net/cspan/hdrive/ter110601_bush.rm

rtsp://cspanrm.fplive.net/cspan/fdrive/ter091801_chirac.rm

rtsp://cspanrm.fplive.net/cspan/fdrive/ter091801_bushchirac.rm

In the old days CSPAN provided regular http-links, but not anymore, and now they have additionally closed down their "community-server", to be upgraded during the elections.

<I guess I need to wait another 6 weeks.>

Watch out, CSPAN is normally

- not archiving the best stuff
- some stuff for only 15 days
- most stuff for 60 days
- some stuff are, after maybe 10-20-30 years, made available again.

403,404 for CSPAN, probably some unfriendly Microsoft settings??

Some basic java-rights are a must as CSPAN decided to not use direct links some years ago, but embed them into java-stuff.

Additionally one needs that somewhat microsoft-unfriendly realplayer using those rtsp-links inside those microsoft-unfriendly java-things.

That is, to follow the US house and senate alive and well, every day.

(well, CSPAN have started to use the microsoft mediaplayer for that, but the archives are still behind some java and that realplayer)

Ilmarinen

PS Note, CSPAN has the almost exclusive rights to the US house and senate (CSPAN1 and CSPAN2) since the late 1970s, but it has always been a struggle

PPS Don't forget the hyphen of C-SPAN.org, some years ago CSPAN.com was still a pornographic sit
