jimtracker, what's your explanation for the fact that John Kerry was the only member of the U.S. military who came home after a 4mo tour in Vietnam without serious wounds or worse?

Toward the end of Vietnam, it was getting difficult to get bodies into the service. The anti war movement had slowed down the stream of volenteers. There were four draftees that were blind. They got to boot camp before someone believed them. Kerry had tried for a deferment to study in France .. got turned down. He then joined the Navy. Pepole did all kinds of crazy stuff to get out of Nam .. it wasn't just a note to get out. Kerry did more than just get out of Nam .. he got out of active duty ..
