You are right. Did get a degree via night school and one year bootstrap. Retired as a Major...not Col. Received orders for CG&SC with 18 years in, then got hurt for the 2nd time and medically retired with just over 20. I'm still embarrassed that this POS JFK claim's my branch. Actually he claims to have been in the same branch of the Navy as the USMC. Whatever that is. But he only says that when he is not claiming to have served with SEALS, SF or CIA. Sad but true.
