Kerry has the same defense budget voting record as Zell.
and yet Zell claims he's weak on defense. Before Zell was in the senate, the Kerry defence cuts he voted for were also supported by Dick Cheney. It was called "the peace dividend". Remember? Cheney boasted about it, held PR events to celebrate it and Bush Sr. also joined in. Everyone was celebrating the defense cuts. Port Goss meanwhile suggested twice the intel cuts as Kerry.

This was all about balancing the budget and Clinton/Kerry did it. Bush has the budget way-way out of wack.
