Bush's credit card governemnt needs to end ,now, and we'll pay with a recession.

Maybe all that credit card spending kept us out of recession.
AMazes me how, given the Clinton bubble, the economy hasn't sent us into a deep recession already.

You can thank China. Chinese growth has kept demand for both commodities and end products fairly strong.

Um, we did have a recession. And without the artificial stimulus from the fed and executive/congress, it probably would have been worse. But we would be coming out of it about now, without the huge deficit.

re: That will be a new one. Since when did the current generation ever pay for the next one?

The next generation will pay for the mistakes of the current administration. And pay dearly. Higher taxes, higher interest rates, fewer folks able to own homes. The credit cards will have to be paid off.

re: The current one has always just piled the debt on and sent it to future generations. How do you get voters to take less? Give up tax breaks?

Bush 1, Clinton and a responsible Rep congress did it. Remember the surplus that Greenspan thought was going to get out of hand? No problem.
