Isn't the military a wonderful place. Go in from small town USA, get a degree and have a wonderful career with some of the best advancment opportunities in the world. I intended to make it a career and had just re-enlisted but sadly ended up being medically retired as an E-5 after just 5 years. Was actually a frocked E-6 and was filling out the paper work to go into the LDO program which I'm reasonably confident I would have made. Really bummed me out to be honest. Craziest deal was it was the knee that they waived when I enlisted that got me the boot. Oh well, play the hand that you are dealt.
