Dan,

You said you recently started using Firefox so this may not apply. I've found that often website specific display problems disappear with the release of the next Firefox version. You might check your version and upgrade if appropriate.

Firefox and Microsoft Investor

Dan,

<< I seem to recall that you also use the MSN Portfolio so I am wondering if you have tried that on Firefox and if you have problems with it. >>

I am an almost daily user of Microsoft Investor, and have used the Portfolio Manager almost from day one. and Firefox 1.01 PR does NOT see what IE sees to be sure.

<< I find that my MSN Money Portfolio does not work well with Firefox. It does not display the same way that it shows in IE. Columns are different, no scroll bar on right side, etc. >>

It doesn't work well with Firefox. It just sorta works. It gets worse when you go to "Stocks" and try to use the Charts. Thery're thhere, but look different and much functionality is stripped.

<< I wonder if Microsoft has built features into their portfolio program that only work on IE browsers. >>

Looks like it. I keep both browsers active (with no apparent conflicts), and use IE6 if I'm going to spend much time over on Microsoft Investor. Microsoft makes its own rules, and they exploit them first on their own sites.

As much as I like MSM's portfolio manager, the best I've ever seen or used, the latest upgrade about 6 weeks back, really bugs me with that left frame and the storage time it takes if you shell out to "stocks" or whatever. I preferred backing up my own portfolios when prompted.

I am, btw, in the process of creating a Mozilla: Firefox and Thunderbird discussion board and I'll post a link here when it's up.

Best,

- Eric -
