Florida newspapers minimizing the impact of the hurricane on local real estate values. They focus on the big rebound after Andrew.

They ignore the fact that real estate was reasonably priced back them but is a bubble now. They also ignore scientific speculation that we are now entering a long cycle of more frequent and stronger hurricanes.

Another bad hurricane season next year will deal a massive blow to the Florida real estate market IMHO. Especially since the national housing bubble will likely have burst by then.
