Now that is kick in the ass truth for demodumbs.

The survey of likely voters showed 51 percent would vote for Bush and 46 percent for Kerry. A similar poll released on Sept. 26 showed Bush with 51 percent and Kerry with 45 percent.

Among registered voters, Bush leads Kerry by 5 percentage points, 50 percent to 45 percent. A poll last week showed 51 percent of registered voters supporting Bush and 44 percent backing Kerry.

The ABC News/Washington Post poll of 1,807 adults was conducted from Oct. 1 through Oct. 3. The telephone survey included 1,470 registered voters and 1,169 likely voters. The margin of error was plus or minus 3 percentage points for the likely voter sample.
