re: Its likely that the number of people killed in drug related deaths is higher because of the prohibition. You wouldn't have too many drug dealers shooting each other (and sometimes bystanders) to increase market area or over contract disputes if the drugs were legal.

It would also raise tax revenue, and cut spending on police, prosecution and incarceration. But decriminalization makes too much sense.
