re: You take every blip downward as a signifigant trend.

I take a reversal of trend seriously.

re: The number of people without health insurance is increaseing primarily because the increased cost of health insurance, which increases primarily because the increased cost of health care.

The loss of health insureance is entirely due to employers not providing health insurance. The reason that employers don't provide health insurance is because they don't have to. The reason they don't have to is that we have lost more jobs in the last admin than we have in the what, the last 8 admins, or something?

re: The country is going further in to debt primarily because of increases in spending. Of course Bush gets a lot of blame for that but the blame should be put on the right thing.

More than half is from the tax cuts, loss of revenue. The rest is from his lack of spending discipline. He get's the blame all right.

re: No really. Taxes and spending should be much lower.

You are half right.

John

You take every blip downward as a signifigant trend.

The very long, long, and even medium turn trends is that people in the US are getting wealthier.

That's only because the pie is getting bigger. And even with that, the overall share controlled by the rich is also getting bigger. If the pie were not getting bigger, there would be major problems in this country.

And it just kills me that you feel the need to defend the rich.
