Z, So doing something counterproductive is better than doing nothing?

The essence of TigerPaw's argument, at least in the post I responded to, was that terrorism is a tactic against which no successful countermeasure has been discovered. Then he declares Iraq as "not a successful countermeasure," as if that is a foregone conclusion.

My answer to him was meant to reflect my optimism and preference for proactiveness over pessimism and second-guessing. Obviously I'm not for doing anything counterproductive, but "doing nothing" isn't very productive, either, especially in a post-9/11 world.
