Hi Zonder. I see you will cling to that one quote & ignore everything else Rumsfeld has said. Fine. Your perception of reality stands at clear odds with all available factual evidence. Rumsfeld's overall record about Saddam's multiple, irrefutable ties to terrorism is clear & supported by a mountain of credible evidence. As for who continues to pretend, I see a huge difference between us. You cling to a Sept 10th mentality. You cherry pick a quote here & there to justify your "Anybody But Bush" POV, while you blithely ignore all evidence that contradicts the few quotes you cite as proof. You parrot Kerry's & the DNC's Talking Points even when they are false, misleading & blatant distortions of reality. Like you, they cherry pick, then twist & distort out of context facts that support their revisionist world view. And like John Kerry & the DNC, you expect absolute perfection from the POTUS. Anything short of 100% perfection is considered a complete & utter failure. It is also well known that the liberal mainstream media also cherry picks, distorts, misleads & parrots Kerry's & DNC Talking Points as though they are fact. As one prime example, just look at how the MSM got from the multiple requirements of the Gulf War Cease Fire Agreement to falsely claiming that the "only" reason for removing Saddam was finding "stockpiles" of WMD's. (The Gulf War Cease Fire Agreement, AKA - UN Resolution 687 dalebroux.com ) Yes the MSM, John Kerry & the DNC all spread the BIG LIE. And they do it with conviction time & time again. I have a Sept 11th mentality. Rather than cherry pick quotes out of context, I compare what is said against the whole record. I am willing to change my POV as time & events move forward, rather than hopelessly cling to an inflexible ideological POV. I do not rely on RNC Talking Points as my main source of factually accurate evidence. Instead, I rely heavily on sources of unimpeachable evidence such as; - the 9/11 Commission, - the Senate Intelligence Report, - the Butler Report - the Iraq Survey Group - UN Resolutions - the findings of UN Inspectors - the full text of Bush's major speeches - CIA reports - DOD reports - DIA reports - FBI reports - State Dept reports - NIE reports - NSC reports - NSA reports - Brittish Intelligence reports - ET AL But hey! You are convinced I live in a fantasy world even though facts & reality support my POV. And what are your sources used to achieve your alternate world view? Ö¿Ö
