JWP, I've seen no acoustic devices that have anywhere near the capabilities or positive attributes that LRAD has.
As to when the contract is awarded, only the government knows that. One can only judge by other recent awards. Typically, that time frame would fall into the next 10-45 days.
I am not pinning my hopes on one particular contract, although I feel they will get it. Don't forget, if they win the contract, that will give ATC a good base revenue stream and there will likely be quite a bit of press that follows that win.
Aside from the Navy, there are the Army, Marines, and Coast Guard to consider, as well as international sales to allied military and commercial interests.
As to 2005 total revs..you don't want too much, do you?
As to how many LRADs or HSSs, or Neos, it wouldn't take that many to hit $20 million.
700 LRADs, OR 15-20,000 HSSs, OR perhaps 4,000 Neos (don't have a firm fix on the price of alert-warning Neos, for starters, using $5,000 each, could be more or less)
Now, if you take a combination of the above...
Say, 233 LRADs, and 5-7,000 HSSs and 1,333 Neos, you could arrive at a hypothetical $20,000,000 and those numbers or recombinations thereof wouldn't seem out of reach.
IMHO, it's a bit early to start on an exit strategy, but whatever makes you comfortable, go for it. Just opinions, nothing more, nothing less.
More than I care to opine about further, so back to looking for articles and information to post.
Best,
S.
