Hi Elmer,

The big pension funds used to be my clients. Ontario Teachers are smart cookies, and I own some S.TO because of them. I may add PWT after the conversion.

I have already received two messages from different Canadian holders of PGH who were forcibly converted to the lower price and less liquid PGFb. Since these are retired folks, for them $4 or so per share is not insignificant. Unfortunately, the Canadian gov't in some respects is even further down the Fascism slope (I'm thinking of the JDS Uniphase engineer and his tax bill) than the US so I doubt they'll make any progress in the Canadian courts.

I expect the spread on EEE to widen once the dividends are issued. It is quite amazing to see the canadian gov't penalizing Canadian investors in CRTs when they are supposed to be attracting them.
