Kerry has the power to bring in 100,000 more allied troops, especially the Arab-speaking peacekeepers we need.

Influence to persuade arab nations to send troops, perhaps. Power? I don't think so...

If Kerry were Pres he would have bent to the following UN pressure, unlike Pres Bush who has more than enough backbone to take actions in best interest of the USA:

<<<Palestinian Authority condemns U.S. veto of U.N. resolution 06-Oct-2004 Story from United Press International

GAZA, Oct. 6 (UPI) -- The Palestinian Authority Wednesday condemned the United States' veto of a U.N. resolution calling on Israel to end its military action in northern Gaza.

Chief Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat told reporters that Arafat condemned the U.S. veto, saying it was the equivalent of locking the door to world diplomacy for his PA leadership.

Israel has taken steps to strengthen it's national security by striking Hamas leaders in northern Gaza Strip>>>

Cheney stated last night that the military would receive more troops for Iraq if requested. They have not done so, therefore what are Kerry's qualifications to over-ride the decision of the actual experts on the ground in Iraq??
In fact Cheney added that more US troops would merely serve to lengthen the war. He said it's more effective to train Iraqis to assume their own national security. The VP made Edwards look like a lightweight on foreign policy.

<<<We need MORE troops in Iraq>>>

<<Kerry has the power to bring in 100,000 more allied troops, especially the Arab-speaking peacekeepers we need.>>

Then he should have done just that. It would have given one hell of a boost to his campaign.
