Oh no, now Dougy is going to be a grammar/punctuation/spelling policemen.

Don't you have a load of laundry to do?

I don't have the time to get into what I surmise about you or to defend what you think about me.

When someone calls me on a word---I look it up----I am not perfect or stupid no more than you are--------"irregardless" is offensive to some and would not be used in formal writing. As noted------from one of the net sources---irregardless was used in the 20th century as a combination of "without respect to and without regard to".

I don't have time for doing the research----I suspect that if you pursue the origin of this word it will have its roots much before the 20th century. There are many words that I use that my friends call me on in jest------when we look them up, they are derived from centuries before the 20th.

That is fine with me----just gives a little richness to my personality and joy in life.
