In my post to Suma, I cited Thomas Barnett and Francis Fukuyama for the proposition that enlarging the "core" would help stabilize the ME. WHAT IN THEIR ANALYSIS DO YOU OBJECT TO; AND WHY? Also, I have posted a "template" for a successful occupation based on historical analysis and have contrasted that with the reality of the failed Iraqi occupation to date.
