Isn't it a little overblown to use the "L" word? You once said that you yourself didn't give much weight to unsupported opinion; yet that's just what you've done in this post. No analysis: just the unsupported claim that the cure doesn't work and those who make it are "liars."

In my post to Suma, I cited Thomas Barnett and Francis Fukuyama for the proposition that enlarging the "core" would help stabilize the ME.

WHAT IN THEIR ANALYSIS DO YOU OBJECT TO; AND WHY?

Also, I have posted a "template" for a successful occupation based on historical analysis and have contrasted that with the reality of the failed Iraqi occupation to date. You have never seen fit to respond.
