They set together for a couple of hours that morning in Feb. 2001 at the Senate prayer breakfast... then were together later for a formal Senate ceremony when the new junior Senator from NC was sworn in, and met again on a talk show....

But I have a great deal of respect for V.P. Cheney, I believe he is largely an honorable man and did not intend to lie in the debate --- must be just a memory failure....
