Crap. There is recognition that only a small minority of Muslims are the problem. They are nutcases like our own radical Christian fundamentalists who shoot people at medical clinics or torch synagogues. The islamic equivalent of Paul Hill. His existence hardly means all Christians are dangerous murderers. The existence of OBL hardly means that about Muslims. Religious intolerance is dangerous in any form.

I have known and worked with many Muslims. The ones I have known have been fine people.

But I think a good part of our nation has adopted a "let's kill us some muslims" viewpoint. To me, the "we either fight them there, or we fight them here" argument is verification of that. A significant proportion of the US public feels that, so long as we are killing muslims somewhere in the world on a daily basis, we are winning the "war on terrorism."
I'm sure it pleases you to believe that, but it ain't so.
