Neither... (but I've said all along that replacing a relatively secular regime --- even one lead by a murderous dictator like Saddam --- runs the risk of radicalizing the Iraqi Shia population and igniting a civil war... with Saudi Arabia and Syria backing their Sunni brothers, and Iran backing their Shia co-religionists, and with the Kurds and Turks dancing their own antagonistic dance. Just as Bush I and Scowcroft predicted.)

And when Iran produces nuclear weapons (and Saudi Arabia possibly avails themselves of the Pakistani bomb --- which, after all, they financed), things could get very interesting....
