With the mainstream media that you cite, there is at least an attempt at professionalism and objectivity. There is no objectivity. The formerly mainstream media do not practice journalism. They practice partisan editing of the news. See the definition below from Merriam Webster. The relevant portionis bolded. I disagree. The reason that the "alternative media" have become relevant is because the partisan media were only serving the leftmost third of the population. I reside closer to the middle of the the road than much of the big 5 liberal TV news organizaitons. Certainly, I am much closer to center than the NYT. I believe the alternative media is much more partisan than what you call the partisan media. That's why I rarely get my info from the alternative media whether they be on the left or on the right.
