Arab Political Action Committee Endorses Kerry 06-Oct-2004 United Press International DEARBORN, Mich., Oct. 6 (UPI) -- The Arab-American Political Action Committee is endorsing Democratic Sen. John Kerry, saying the presidential candidate would make America stronger. "We believe Senator Kerry will make America stronger, safer and more respected throughout the world," said the Dearborn, Mich.-based, AAPAC's president, Abed Hammoud, in a statement. Michigan has one of the largest Arab and non-Arab Muslim populations in the United States. Osama Siblani, the group's past president, said "we will play a major role in unseating President Bush," WDIV-TV, Detroit reported. Siblani said "no one knows better than Arab Americans how negatively the Arab and Muslim worlds view the United States right now."
