I think the CTIC example is quite interesting, though. Assuming you sell the MAR 10 calls for 1.50, you are protected down to the 5 area, and then have all of the upside until 11.50.

I'm not saying one might do this to cover an existing position, I'm thinking of a new position, in some size (relative to my portfolio)
