AS was confused. My comparison to Bogota was during the violencia period more so than today. It is much safer there today than a year ago. When the violencia period was ongoing and I lived there, I can tell you that the shootings in the streets, the bombs going off 1 block from where we were walking, is very dangerous...I remember well the toilet paper truck that was stuffed with a bomb...the place rattled far more than when we blast in our quarry and the flying debry and deaths make it a nightmare. AS is not up on Colombia. I have been going there since 1964 and have lived there for several years.
