There's no need to explain why you need corporate shells if you're afraid a simple explanation is going to get you into trouble -- with them.

But if you're afraid of shadowy organizations monitoring your internet transmissions I'd assume all of your internet traffic is already fully encrypted and routed through some anonymizer. So in the final analysis I can't think of any reason why you're unable to provide a simple explanation for needing shell companies for "privacy".

When I lived and worked overseas, all of my work was legal and in fairly civilized nations. I paid my taxes, didn't work with gangsters nor was I running from the police. So all in all I just can't imagine why your need for "privacy" is so great.
