Of course, merely by ridding the country of the Saddam regime, we have achieved part of our goal there.

We have finally "accounted" for Saddam's WMD, there were none.

At best, Saddam had nothing to do with the GWOT. Each year since the invasion of Iraq there has been an increase in world wide terrorist attacks [which doesn't include the terrorist attacks in Iraq]. World opinion of the US hasn't been lower, especially in Muslim countries which contributes to a larger terrorist base to draw from.

We've secured less Russian nuclear materials since the war in Iraq then we did in the same comparable amount of time prior to the war in Iraq. You may recall that at the beginning of the Bush Administration you and I discussed that very topic. You, of course, siding with Bush that he must have had good reason to stop funding the Nunn Lugar Program..

Three million illegals crossing the US border this year. 6%, or less of shipping containers entering the US unchecked.

How do they measure progress? 40 million Afghans registered to vote? Ignoring that those numbers are largely inflated because the same person registers multiple times. 2/3 -3/4 of AQ gone....as if they aren't replaceable.

The war in Iraq is immaterial to the GWOT, at best.
