I went to college between 1962-1966 and things were quite civilized back then. Been going down hill ever since. I love to argue and debate. I sometimes fall into the trap of writing polemics with only limited knowledge of facts on the ground. Some folks both left and right think they know all the facts and everyone else is a moron. mike

Discussion - or thought - hardly exists on this thread.

It does not inspire confidence in America's future.

I have heard that there are some places in the world where ideas and their nuances are cherished. I think it has something to do with being too comfortable and self-satisfied.

Very sad.
