<Why has there been no attack on the United States in retaliation for the routing of Al Qaida?> The initial attacks on the world trade center were years apart. Nothing in their pattern of behavior suggest they would have attacked again so soon. They went for a big show and they got it. Their next big show would not be due for a while. Nothing we have done suggests that this country is secure against the next attack. And in the area of greatest concern -- nuclear weapons in the hands of terrorists and rogue states -- we are far less secure in the years that Bush has been in office.
