Kerry is actually a pacifist who would have found the American War of Independence to be the "wrong war, wrong place, wrong time." Although in 1775 his friends, the French, would definitely have given him a passing mark on his "global test." <<Its definitely the wrong war>> Pacifist? Hardly. However, he may be cautious when it comes to war because he knows what war is like. I have noticed, and you may include John McCain in this group, that those who have fought in a war are more likely to exhaust all peaceful avenues before marching headlong into a fight. And that's what we need in these times. A seasoned war veteran who understands the follies AND strengths of going to war. Clearly, Mr. Bush does not share those qualities. He barely completed his NG service.
