I felt bad about it until I looked at the reciept and saw the attached one for a Mercedes ahead of me. $60

A full tank of gas in my car sets me back about A$80.

LB-- I'd never drive that moped from OH to SC. I'll take the pickup or SUV every time. 4 wheel drive gas hogs are damn comfortable and feel safe too. A normal month here sees approx 410 gal burned,,but I'll not drive the Hummer on that trip,,LOL

Considering the price increases of gasoline, and cigarettes, and home heating gas or oil , tell me again how the government computes the rate of inflation of around 4%(?) or the PPI and CPI as follows.

stats.bls.gov

Credit GWB with adding 1,198,000 jobs in last 6 mos - not too shabby

Blogs for Bush - Rasmussen Survey: Cheney Won The Debate
Liberals can flood online polls all they want, but the scientific polls are the ones that give us a more realistic glimpse of the public's perception of who won the VP debate... According to a Rasmussen Reports survey Cheney clearly won the debate, and most voters feel he is more qualified:

A Rasmussen Reports survey of 1,000 Likely Voters conducted Wednesday night found that 43% believe Vice President Dick Cheney did better than Senator John Edwards in their Vice Presidential debate. Thirty-seven percent (37%) took the opposite view and believe Edwards won the debate.
Predictably, by overwhelming margins, Republicans and Democrats each thought their candidate won. Those not affiliated with either party gave the nod to Vice President Cheney by a 42% to 33% margin.

LB, granted that's a pretty high tab for a nice looking hood ornament.

However,...

If that person was driving a "S" class, chances are they were getting 20-25 mpg at highway speeds (60-70mph), depending on the size of the V8.

Not as good as a moped, but a little less wind noise, huh?
