On doing biz with Iran, Cheney argued in the debate that it unilateral embargoes do not work.

To the business audience, he said it "wasn't fair" that American companies were not allowed to do business in Iran while others were and he wanted to do business there.

On the charges, I don't care much if Cheney had his hand on the Libya issue directly or not. There is a pattern there, Cheney was part of it. A good CEO knows his company, and sets the moral tone. A good CEO would not be unaware of dealings with countries like Libya, since they represent increased business risk -- forget about the political and moral issues involved.

Cheney is a smart man, I can't believe for a second that did not not. That's the pathetic Enron -- Ken Lay "I didn't know" defense.

Halliburton as an issue is not the most important to me, just an indicator of past behaviour and therefore future behaviour.
