Bush's disconnect is dangerous .....

.......... The American public is really semiliterate and very capable of being duped. Some on this thread are simply diehard right-wingers, but rather informed.

Bush has a stooge media following him around. Fox is neanderthal. But the others try to be fair and balanced. Even Bill Maher has a conservative voice on virtually every one of his shows. So the right is always given credibility. Thus, when hairbrained schemes are put into motion by clowns like Bush, the public buys them. Even Dan Rather supported the invasion of Iraq--what I seriously consider to be the most erroneous foreign policy decision in our nation's history.

This distortion of reality and dangerous turn to the right has to be stopped. Fortunately, I see Kerry building some momentum. But I'm really distressed that Bush trapped virtually all Senators with that hideous "authorization" vote to make this ridiculous Iraq misadventure bipartisan.

Jessica Mathews of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace thinks we have to try to right the ship in Iraq. I don't think that can be done and I believe Kerry in his heart of hearts realizes that. He wants an international summit. Why? I think to validate a withdrawal. Jessica Mathews pointed out on Charlie Rose's show tonight that all occupying powers justify their occupation by claiming that chaos would occur should they withdraw. Very interesting.

Bush and his cronies are amateurs of the highest degree. Their missteps created this chaos and they seek reelection by claiming they are the ones to resolve the choaos. That is the logic of the insane.
