Bush talks the talk... but he doesn't walk the walk.

Spending, deficits, the size of government, the intrusiveness of government are all up.

Divided government would have a better chance at moderating the ever-increasing federal power....

you are right on the money..... some people think the government should take care of them from cradle to the grave. i always like to use the true example of my part-time worker who i will call john.

John: I sure will be glad when this election is over.
Jim: Why?
John: Because I want to see what the government is going to do for me.
Jim: John, you work like a Republican, but you think like a democrap. you now get a military retirment check from the government, you get a VA disability check from the government, you get a social security check from the government, your wife gets a social security check from the government. you have 4 government checks coming into your house. how much more do you want?
John: well i earned it. i think i should be getting more...
Jim, where is the money going to come from. you are getting a lion's share and should be satisfied......

so John still awaits getting more from the government and blames President Bush for him not getting more from the 4 government checks coming into his empty nest household.
