the absence of Canada among coalition partners I view as troubling. Canada is not a fair weather friend. Canada and US intelligence have to work together closely to defend North America. Certainly the two would have shared intelligence about Iraq for for reasons not made public, Canada did not join the coalition. Perhaps some of those top secret documents illustrated why the case was so weak.

A goodly portion of the country have relatives in the US. Canada is the largest trading partner of the US. Canada is the largest customer of more than half of the US states. Canada is the largest supplier of refined petroleum imports to the US and the third largest supplier of imported oil to the US, last I checked.

NORAD was not on board. This is troubling in the extreme. An attack against a NORAD country is an attack against all, so goes the charter.

But wait... Iraq never attacked the US nor any other NORAD country in this decade nor any country in this decade.

Yes...it will take some time for others to adjust to a post 9/11 frame of mind, especailly those who were not attacked as we were....like Canada......
