A big factor in all of this was Saddam's desire to lead people to believe he had WMD. He has said, it was his deterent against invasion from Iran and his way of being the biggest badass in ME. He seems to have mastered the art of "seeming to hide" something he did'nt have. The lead inspectors to conclude "he was hiding something".

The only way we now know what we know is by having gone in.

The evidence seems to make this clear. No one was lying about WMD. Not Clinton, Berger, Kerry, Edwards, Tenet, Kennedy, or Bush. They were all mislead. They all believed those things about Saddam to be true at the time they said them.

That being the case, Bush and Kerry and Edwards believed the intel that Clinton's CIA director accumulated, resulting in the "Slam Dunk" statement. What kind of derelection of duty would we be talking about if an Iraqi produced VX/Sarin laced suitcase nuke was detonated in downtown LA at noon Thursday killing 1/2 million people?

What irks me to no end is the backseat driving, MOnday morning quarterbacking.......
