Hi mamcc -

"Is there any consideration that the delay of Pennsaid was politically motivated?"

I think the level of doubt about the inner workings of the FDA allows almost any reasonable theory. The perception that FDA is subservient to large pharmaceutical companies has become widespread.

One certainly can't discount the possibility you raise.

IMO, the real reason for the delay, and extra trials - beyond The Markham Gang's tragic fumbling and incompetence - has not been understood.

Dan Chicoine's allusion to a possible deal with JnJ - after terminating the Standstill Agrement - underscores the reality that there's still a place for both Pennsaid and Penecure in the visions of potential partners.

The current climate of negativity is obscuring the potential here, and the fact that revitalized - and trusted - management is in charge at Dimethaid increases the likeihood that some kind of partnership will be struck.

Of course, the real possibilities of WF10 (not the perceptions encouraged by the proxy fight disinformation campaign) remain to be discovered: they are very promising.

This is a company with serious immediate financial problems - but good long-term prospects. Since the financial problems are being dealt with (in the interim), and since we can see how those problems might be resolved, many long-term investors are regaining some of the old optimism.

They should be. It won't be fast. It won't be easy. But the potential can be realized, and the market will see that.

Regards,

Jim
