That's right Carolyn. Pres Bush won by almost 600 votes in FL after all the recounts. Hopefully the win margin will be irrefutable this time.

Clinton refused to open the office set aside for the new President. Perhaps he was rehearsing his next court testimony at it. Our country is ill served by dragging a farce out for months. Gore got the valid military votes tossed because he knew that they were not favorable to him. Whit the valid military votes Gore lost in every scenario. With the 50,000 disenfranchised voters from the panhandle it was not even close. The SCOF was trying to steal the election. The SCOTUS did not want to get involved. It was only when it was clear that the law was going to be a casualty of Democrat partisan politics that they unwillingly stopped the farce.

LIAR. Jeb cut 57,700 mostly legal voters in Florida. They were classified as out of state ex-cons. Only trouble was, the GOP owned consulting firm Clear Point (or something like that, co-owned by Vin Webber) deliberately didn't screen for SS numbers, just names and birthdates. So if you are John Brown born on a certain date and there is a John Brown in some other state who was once arrested for a felony, you are cut from the rolls without further checking. Also the race of the party was checked and there was an inordinate amount of black voters removed without notifying the voter I might add. So thousands of legal voters showed up, mostly black Gore voters, and there were unable to vote, This included black ministers. Hence the NAACP lawsuit versus Jeb which was settled out of court. The consulting firm was confronted about this after the election and they smirked "Oop,s we made a mistake". Some mistake. It was a deliberate ruse to steal thousands of votes from Gore. Many thousands.
