Ed, Of all the news organizations and their specific flagship programs which are suspect, most people would put CBS and 60 Minutes at the top (or bottom, depending on how you arrange things) of their list. I put 60 Minutes in the ashbin, along with the Drudge Report, rantings by Michael Moore and Michael Savage and other bits of nonsense. Life is too short to try to work through which parts of disreputable coverage just might be reputable. I guess you have more time than I do . . . Btw, Tom Friedman has had some very good pieces lately, pretty critical of Bush etc. Kb
