Well, why don't you vote for Kerry and we'll see how a person junping directly from the Senate to the White House fares? The only Senator in modern times who went directly to the White House was JFK - and he didn't serve a full term, before that Eisinhower, Truman, Roosevelt, did not. Hoover... (where did he come from?)... that's as far back as my history goes... Life-time career politicians like John Kerry have lived in a protected bubble, and as a result never had to deal with the realities requisite to being Pres of USA.
