Did you get that off of a fortune cookie? Sometimes wars breed more wars, sometimes they settle things. The Civil War was not followed by another war, although it was followed by a civil rights movement. The War of 1812 was not a necessary consequence of the Revolutionary War, and we have been friends with Britain since. Yes, WWI planted the seeds of WWII, but WWII pretty much took care of things. The Korean War did not breed another war. I do not recall whether the War of the Austrian Secession had a baneful side effect........
