Just this month I upgraded my mp3 player and digital camera to a 5MP with 512MB SD card, so I too am doing my job;-)

Went back to Fry's yesterday at 4:30PM and there were very few parking spots and the checkout rows were fully staffed, but no wait.

256Meg SD Flash card for a camera was $30 with $15 rebate brinig it down to $15! That should move a great deal of inventory. Costco wanted $55 for 512Meg so we went with a single 256M card for her new camera. I purchased one at a similar price at MicroCenter last month for my camera. Those sort of prices should move inventory quickly.

One consumer observation to consider. Since I bought my TiVo a year ago, I have not rented a DVD. I can watch many of the prime time shows and skip commercials plus I have HBO to get movies when they eventually are released to HBO. I have two unused passes to the $10 per ticket movies, a fridge full of 99¢ DVD rental coupons and a $10 Blockbuster gift card sitting in my drawer for 6 months now... If I won't use these "essentially free" things to watch movies now that I have TiVo... what is that saying about the industry?
