Amy, I believe that the Democratic establishment wanted to get rid of Dean because he was considered unelectable. When he made his goofy yelps in front of campaign supporters, they all piled on, including media organizations with democratic leanings. If he had been perceived as a possible Bush-beater, the reaction would have been completely different. Dean's yelping really wasn't that strange, but he was already a marked man. Too bad, he was a decent guy.

BTW, I think Kerry was the clear winner in the debate.
