These guys don't dare straighten out the tax system lest they be called out for "raising taxes". Mondales and Bush 41 proved that's dangerous in an election year.

Of course, Kerry is going to cut taxes on the middle class. He's promised it now, and it's going to screw him like it did Bush I if he's elected.


The current tax cuts are in place for 4 years. He's saying he will maintain all but the upper 2%. However, that upper 2% is a major revenue generator.

In the end, I suspect in the end the tax cuts will have to be rescinded. Then Bush's free ride will be over.
