Repubs NOT for free trade. Repubs for corporat welfare.

It's a myth. Bush isn't a capitalist and neither is Cheney.

What Bush/Cheney believe in is working the American Public harder for the sake of a small minority of ultrawealthy campaign contributors and cronies. Their idea of 'productivity' is the American worker being so afraid of losing his/her job that they work harder and longer for the same or less pay. It's a very ugly view of 'productivity.'

Cheney used his 'government service' to get a cushy job with a government contractor to make his $30 million from Halliburton stock options. Cheney is corrupt and give corrupt Bush a run for his money.

Republicans aren't capitalists, they're autocrats at the top of the party and stupid dolt serfs at the bottom of the party. When we look at the Republican party in the USA today, we're looking at a modern American version of a feudal system voted in by the stupid dolt serfs to enslave themselves.

The Republican party is headed for civil war. The stealing of the election by Bush and his four years of corruption have seen to that.

Re: It really kills me that these "free traders" are for free trade for corporations but not citizens.

It's also killing the economy of Alberta. They have been screwed by the U.S. which used the mad cow scare of 2003 to keep out Canadian beef, and nearly double the price of beef for the American consumer. When Albertans decided that they wanted to retaliate by withholding oil and natural gas from the U.S. market, their own Provincial minister sided with the corporate greedheads in the U.S. and refused to engage in a trade war.

Citizens on both sides of the border get no respect from their masters.
